SSE: Simple Sharing Extensions

First there was RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary), now there is (or will be) SSE. Instead of just broadcasting information outward (as RSS does), SSE will be "bi-directional." What this really means in practical terms, I'm not entirely sure. And this may only be of interest in the immediate future to web application developers. Nonetheless, it does seem to be a big thing in the world of social software and Web 2.0, so I put it on my list of things to read about. Here are some links in case anyone else is interested:
