Visual Studies Program at Whetaon

Saw this mention in an article in the Boston Globe this Sunday:

"Wheaton College, in Norton, acquired an illustrated transcript of a ''Book of Hours' that dates to the 15th century, and will use it to teach art history and Latin; the document will be exhibited at the school this fall and perhaps at Boston College in the spring.

And because of growing interest in digital technology and digital images, Wheaton has expanded its curriculum offerings with a new visual studies program. An alumnus, who asked not to be named, donated $3 million to get the program off the ground, said a Wheaton spokesman, Michael Graca. A visiting professor will be teach courses on film production in the spring, and next year a full-time professor will be brought in."

Looks like we have some interesting work ahead of us...
